Community involvement is part of the fabric of our institution, as we participate extensively in the rebirth of New Orleans. Tulane's future growth will be shaped by the university's direct experience with Hurricane Katrina. Tulane's experience with Katrina provides faculty, staff and students with unprecedented research, learning and community service opportunities in the city of New Orleans, the Gulf Coast region, and other world communities.
