Admitted Transfers Guide

Congratulations! We look forward to having you on Tulane's campus. If you are still in the application stage, we thank you for looking ahead toward what is to come.

Admitted Student Website
Admitted transfer students will receive a username and password in order to login to an admitted student website. Once logged in, you can submit your deposit and complete the necessary enrollment and housing information. Expect to receive your user name and password by email approximately two weeks after you have received your admission letter. You will also receive invitations to special programs for admitted students.

Making Your Deposit
In order to reserve your place in the class, a nonrefundable $300 commitment deposit ($150 for enrollment, $150 toward housing) must be received by the Office of Undergraduate Admission no later than December 15th for the spring semester and July 1 for the fall semester. If you are not interested in campus housing, you only need to submit a $150 enrollment deposit. If you choose not to submit your deposit online using the admitted student website mentioned above, a check or money order should be made payable to Tulane Educational Fund and sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admission.

Housing
Admitted transfer students who choose to enroll at Tulane can select housing preferences using their personal Admitted Student Website mentioned above. Housing is offered on a first-come-first-served basis according to the date of receipt of the $300 deposit and housing contract, but it is not guaranteed. Students who send in forms and deposit by the deadline - July 1 for fall or December 1 for spring - will be given priority.

Please direct housing questions to:

School and Major
All full-time students are enrolled in the Newcomb-Tulane Undergraduate College. Additionally, you will be enrolled in the school that offers the major you designated on your application. If you did not indicate a major, we will set your major as “undecided” in Newcomb-Tulane College. Undergraduate degrees may be earned in the following schools: The School of Architecture, The A.B. Freeman School of Business, The School of Liberal Arts, The School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and The School of Science and Engineering.

Watch the Mail
You will receive registration instructions and PIN numbers by mail, and you may also receive course evaluation updates by mail. Expect to receive information from the Office of Student Affairs and Housing Office as well.
