Engineering Physics

Students majoring in Engineering Physics gain direct experience with basic scientific principles and industrial application in areas that are seen to be at the forefront of technological development. This interdisciplinary program provides students with a science and mathematics background comparable to that of Tulane’s traditional physics major, as well as a strong grounding in engineering design and the application of physics principles to daily life. The curriculum is characterized by a strong emphasis on modern physics and its application to 21st century technology, including new materials, quantum electronics and nanofabrication devices.
