Tulane Admission

The best way to get a feel for what it is like to be a member of the Tulane community is to visit us. You’ll get a chance to meet current students, sit in on a class or two, and attend campus lectures, movies, or student theatrical or musical productions. A visit to Tulane will also allow you to experience New Orleans, our culturally rich and unique city.

We encourage you to stop by the Office of Admission for a tour and to ask as many questions as come to mind. The Undergraduate Admission Office is located in Room 210 Gibson Hall at 6823 St. Charles Avenue in the Uptown area of New Orleans. We also have a number of special programs scheduled that you should consider:

Receptions for Prospective Students: If you can't make it to campus, we encourage you to try to attend one of our receptions for prospective students. Admission Counselors will be visiting cities around the U.S. to host receptions for prospective students and their families. This is a great opportunity to find out more about Tulane without ever leaving home. Check out the schedule here. You can also register for any of these receptions here.

Campus Preview Day: We will host day long programs on three Saturdays throughout the Fall: October 11th, October 18th, and November 8th. All prospective students and their families are encouraged to come. The daily schedule will include a student panel, a campus tour, and question and answer sessions. To register for any of these dates, please click here.

Louisiana Week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday during the weeks of Sept.  8 – 12, 2008 (for seniors) and Feb. 16 – 20, 2009 (for juniors and sophomores) are “Louisiana Weeks,” a daily program spanning one week that is specially designed for prospective Louisiana high school students and their parents to visit Tulane University. Please join our mailing list online to receive an invitation with detailed program information.

Destination Tulane:  We invite all admitted students to attend Destination Tulane, a special program (exclusively for admitted students and their families) and see why Tulane University is the ultimate college destination!  Choose one day (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday) from March 30-April 28 (NOT offered on Wednesdays or Friday, April 10th). Click here for the regular weekday Destination TU Schedule of events. Two Saturdays will also be offered on April 4 and April 18 (classes will not be in session on Saturday and the Saturday schedule will be slightly condensed)

Invitations will be sent via email and postal mail to all admitted students, with RSVP instructions included.
