Visiting campus is the best way to gain an understanding of what it is like to be a member of Tulane's community. On campus, you have the opportunity to meet current students, sit in on classes, and attend many different types of campus events. Visiting Tulane also gives you the chance to experience the city of New Orleans, one of the most culturally rich and unique cities in the entire country.
We encourage you to stop by the Office of Admission for a tour and to ask anything that you would like to know about Tulane, New Orleans and the college experience. The Undergraduate Admission Office is located in Room 210 Gibson Hall at 6823 St. Charles Avenue in the Uptown area of New Orleans.
Daily Tours: While school is in session during the fall and spring semesters, we have daily tours at 9 AM and 2 PM Monday through Friday and at 9 AM on Saturdays. During the summer, we have tours at 9 AM Monday through Friday. The tours begin with a brief overview in the Admission Office and a guided tour through campus with a student. To sign up for a tour, please click here.
Larger Group Tours: We gladly welcome group visits to Tulane’s campus. Provided tour guide availability, all students of high school age will be granted a guided tour of Tulane’s campus. Groups of students in their Junior and Senior years of high school will be accommodated with an information session led by an Admission Counselor in addition to the guided tour. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate groups of students that are not of high school age, and any groups larger than 60 students. We will gladly provide copies of self-guided tour scripts or campus maps. Group Visits must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance, and due to staff and volunteer availability, only a limited number of group tours are available each month. We greatly prefer that groups schedule plan their visits for either 10:00 AM , 1:00 PM or 3:00 PM. We are unable to accommodate any Group Visits during the end of March and throughout the entire month of April. If you are trying to schedule a tour for a group larger than 8, please contact Antoinette Abboud.
Admitted students should also consider having lunch with a current student after the tour. Please call 1-800-873-9283 or contact your counselor to set this up.
In addition to daily tours and information sessions, we have several other admission events you should consider attending:
Receptions for Prospective Students (Fall): If you can't make it to campus, we encourage you to try to attend one of our receptions for prospective students.
