Cultivating Academic Success at Tulane (CAST) is the first step of New Student Orientation and prepares students for academic success and to start making an impact on campus. Held during the summer, CAST gives students the opportunity to visit campus to learn more about the academic resources at Tulane. During this one-day event, you’ll meet with an academic advisor to register for fall classes and lay out your academic goals. Students are required to attend CAST, and are strongly encouraged to sign up for an on campus session. Students that absolutely cannot make it to campus will be able to access all the CAST information online and meet with their academic advisor virtually to register for fall classes.

Students who are absolutely unable to make it to campus for CAST will be able to register for a June virtual CAST session when registration opens in spring 2019. During these sessions, students will virtually meet with an Academic Advisor and receive guidance on setting up their fall schedule. In order to provide personalized feedback, each time slot has a limited number of spots available.
