Everett Ellis

Everett Ellis

Hi! My name is Everett and I am from Oakland, California. I am currently majoring in Economics, with a possible minor in Marketing. I transferred to Tulane from a community college in California. Originally, I was hesitant to go somewhere so far from home. However after visiting during our annual student-run food and arts festival, Crawfest, and learning more about the extraordinary opportunities Tulane has to offer, I knew this was the college experience I was looking for. New Orleans is a uniquely spectacular place to live, with a diverse and vibrant culture unlike anywhere else. There is always something happening on campus and it is easy to seek out and get involved in student life. I find myself constantly preoccupied - between classes, playing club rugby, attending speaker seminars, doing service learning, and exploring New Orleans, there is never a dull moment here. Tulane offers so much if you are willing to go out and find it and the Office of Admissions here does everything possible to help make your transition smooth and easy. Coming from a community college, one of my favorite things here is the smaller class sizes and easy accessibility of professors. Tulane does a good job of blending the individualized attention of a smaller school with the myriad of opportunities available at a larger school, all while being in one of the greatest cities in the world.
