Hey everyone, my name is Maddie and I’m from Orange County, California. I am majoring in Design with a minor in Architecture. Transferring colleges can be an intimidating prospect but once I made the decision to pursue my educational goals at Tulane, I never looked back. I attended a private school in Northern California and never felt at home there. The atmosphere was competitive rather than collaborative and I never felt comfortable during my time on campus. When I reached out to the transfer counselors at Tulane, I immediately knew that I had made the right decision. Everyone was responsive and positive and made me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions promptly and cheerfully. I attended several webinars that were extremely helpful in providing tips on the transfer application process. I visited campus and immediately knew that Tulane was where I belonged. My professors have been so supportive and dramatically different than the professors I had at my first school. At Tulane I feel like my professors and the counselors are here to partner with me and help me with every step I take toward my degree.
