High Hat Café
The patio space between the LBC and Devlin Fieldhouse – there’s tons of outdoor seating and it’s always filled with students
When I was a student next door at Loyola, I was walking to Tulane one night to grab a bite to eat in the LBC when I tripped on the sidewalk. The person who reached out to keep me from falling on my face turned out to be a Tulane student I knew because she and I went to school together for 9 years (almost 2,000 miles away in our hometown in California)!

Visit visit visit! There’s only so much you can learn from a website, and schools often feel very different in person than they do on paper. The best way to see if a school is the right fit for you is to walk around campus, talk to current students and professors, and maybe even have a meal in the dining hall. The university I ended up attending wasn’t even in my top 5 until I took a campus tour and fell in love with everything about it, which goes to show that you really never know until you try!
