My “Only at Tulane” Moment:

On my first day of work there was a major thunderstorm in the morning, and as someone coming from California, I had no idea what to expect. In just a couple of hours the weather was beautiful and you could not even tell that we just had a major storm. Also the trees on campus are gorgeous after a rainstorm.

My “Only in New Orleans” Moment:

When I first moved here I noticed that everywhere I went people wanted to say hello or have a conversation with me. I felt welcomed from the moment my plane landed and my Uber driver gave me 20+ different restaurants and coffee shops to try. People in NOLA also have so much pride about this city, and now that I live here I completely understand why.

My Best College Search Process Tip:

Follow the social media pages for the colleges you’re interested in. A lot of universities have current students take over their Instagram page to go through their day to day on campus. The best source of information about academics, involvement and campus life come directly from current students.
