Hello! My name is Hailey Mozzachio and I transferred to Tulane in the Spring of 2018. I am a sophomore with double major in Psychology and Theater and a minor in Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship. I grew up in South Jersey. Before coming to Tulane, I was a student at a religious university in Washington, D.C. I lived in D.C. for a year and a half as a student and while there I worked with organizations such as the Human Rights campaign. Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience there and was outed and harassed for being gay. What led me to Tulane was their amazing services and resources for LGBTQ students, including volunqueers, GSA, fun queer events, and there is even a section of the Health Center specifically for LGBTQ students. I also had the ability to double major in an art and a science at Tulane, which was very important to me. With the curriculum flexibility, I am able to pursue my passion for acting while still getting involved in the business and science aspects of humanity that are also important to me. Not to mention the fact that New Orleans is an amazing place to live! Although this is only my first semester at Tulane, I am already in a show run by the drama department, I have two on campus jobs, and I am involved with GSA (gay straight alliance) and SOAR (students organizing against racism). I am already having an amazing experience with Tulane, and I would be happy to recommend this school to anyone!
