Hi! I’m Peyton and I came to Tulane in the Fall of 2017. I am from Orlando, FL. I transferred from a small private institution in North Carolina, where I was on the baseball team for two years. The thought of transferring as a Junior was stressful at first, however the transition here at Tulane has been smooth and easy! I’m originally from Louisiana, and to transfer to Tulane was like a homecoming for me. I love New Orleans; the food, the music, the people, and of course, the Saints, all make the city feel like home. I even get to take the streetcar to school every morning. How many people can say that!? Here, there is always something to do! Since coming to Tulane, I have declared as a Neuroscience major, and joined the club baseball team. I am also currently working on upstarting the first pre-med professional fraternity at Tulane; and I am now grateful to be a Tulane Transfer Student Ambassador! When I’m not busy with homework, baseball, or studying for the MCAT, I like to explore the streets of uptown. In five months I have stepped into more local restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries, and beignet café’s than I probably have in my entire life. The best part about it, is that I’ve always got a friend to join me. While everything Tulane has to offer me to help me towards my future is great, it is the friends and family that make this place special to me. Roll Wave!
