My “Only in New Orleans” Moment:
Going to crawfish boils and parades with my host family! Being from Canada, I was put in touch with a host family who took me in and helped me get settled in New Orleans about 10 years ago. I moved overseas for a few years, missed New Orleans, and wanted to come back. I reconnected with my host family, and they took me in again like a stray puppy. We love hanging out and going to festivals like we used to.
My Best College Search Process Tip:
Don't be afraid to try something new. Be open to taking chances and you never know where they might lead.
