Nicole Luna

Hi! My name is Nicole and I am originally from San Diego, CA. I am majoring in Public Health on the pre-med track. In my freshman year of college, I attended a large school in the middle of an even bigger metropolitan city, New York City. I felt completely lost and without any community as the school had no campus or student events. I longed to attend a smaller school where I could be proud of where I went and say that I genuinely loved being in college. After I applied to a number of schools to transfer to,  I started making a pros and cons list for each one. It did not take long for me to realize that Tulane was where I belonged. From a sense of community that is unparalleled to the pride you can feel in the air the second you step on campus; I could not imagine myself anywhere else. I know how daunting it is to transfer and how it can be even scarier than starting college as a freshman, but Tulane could not have made it an easier process. Everyone is beyond welcoming and by the end of the first week of school I already had amazing new friends. It is very obvious how much everyone, from professors to students, cares for each other here. I can't wait for you guys to fall in love with Tulane and New Orleans just as I have!
