The porch swing in front of Cudd Hall! I loved doing my coursework in the sunshine while saying hello to friends passing by on their way to class.
My “Only in New Orleans” Moment:
My junior year, I took a hydrology class which had only eight students, so we had the opportunity to take frequent field trips across New Orleans and Southeastern Louisiana. On one field trip, we had class on the Natchez River boat and floated up the Mississippi River as we learned about how the river shapes New Orleans both culturally and literally!
My Best College Search Process Tip:
Something that worked for me during my own college search was making a list of past experiences or classes I’ve enjoyed and figuring out the common threads or values that tied those things together. When you find a school that shares that common thread, you’ll know you’ve found where you belong!
