Favorite NOLA Restaurant:

Bearcat Uptown offers delicious breakfast and lunch options and unique coffee and tea drinks. The menu also accommodates a variety of eaters offering vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Favorite Spot on Campus:

The Academic Quad. It’s my favorite place to get some fresh air, stretch out on one of the Adirondack chairs that dot the lawn, and take a break.

My “Only in New Orleans” Moment:

After living in New Orleans for over a decade, it’s hard to narrow it down to just one: being backstage for Allen Toussaint’s last performance at French Quarter Fest; Tuesday nights listening to WWOZ (New Orleans’ jazz and heritage station) with my best friend; my first time eating crawfish; courtside seats at a Pelicans (our NBA team); days reading on Bayou St. John… the moments are endless.

My Best College Search Process Tip:

Don’t be afraid to engage with your admission counselor and ask questions. Making a personal connection is a big part of the American admission process and can help students navigate as the transition to college.
