International ACAC 2018 New Orleans

NOLA Info

Extending your stay in New Orleans (NOLA) before or after the conference? Here are some tips on things to do in New Orleans, as well as on and around our campuses.

New Orleans is a city of distinct neighborhoods and districts. Follow these links to better understand greater New Orleans.

Making your way around New Orleans has gotten easier thanks expanded street car lines. You can buy passes with cash on board, or in Tulane’s student center. The city’s bike share program, Blue Bikes, makes riding in some parts of the city even easier. While bike stations don’t yet extend to campus, you can explore large parts of the city by renting on of these bikes. Bus service, taxis, rideshare services, and university shuttles will also provide connectivity around the city.

New Orleans is well known for live music, festivals, and food (in addition to our institutions of higher education). See the links below for what’s going on at the moment.

Family Friendly entertainment options abound in New Orleans, and in Uptown neighborhood where our campuses are located.

  • Tuesday Night (July 10th) comedy workshop for kids. Non-conference affiliated, but on campus at Tulane, in the LBC
  • Map of Family Friendly Activities; zoo, aquarium, insectarium, children’s museum, and more!
