Hello! My name is Hayden Heckenkemper. I’m from Tulsa, Oklahoma, majoring in International Development with a French minor. Being accepted as a Spring Scholar came with excitement and hesitation, as I wasn’t sure what it would entail. A few short weeks into my study abroad in Paris, I knew I had made the right decision. Walking past the Eiffel Tower daily and taking a class in a new museum each week were just two of the immeasurable experiences during my first semester of college. I learned how to be fully independent and connected with other Tulane Spring Scholars, students from other American universities, and international students from every corner of the world. Now at Tulane, I’ve enjoyed meeting new people daily and participating in the many clubs Tulane offers.
