In 2006, Tulane hosted an on-campus red carpet premiere of “All the King’s Men.”  Jude Law, Kate Winslet, James Gandolfini, and Patricia Clarkson were among the stars who attended.

Newcomb Pottery, widely considered one of the most significant American art pottery collections of the 20th century, originated from Tulane's H. Sophie Newcomb Memorial College pottery program.

The Tulane National Primate Research Center, one of seven centers that make up the National Primate Research Center Program funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is a leader in infectious diseases research.

The Center for Public Service at Tulane University was started in 2006 to ensure that Tulane students learn outside the classroom through giving back to the community. Tulane offers over 100 courses with service-learning components.
