Hi, I am Aaron from South Georgia! I am currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Public Health. Being from an SEC school state, it was always a goal of mine to go to an SEC school! After graduation I was able to attend one! I loved the extremely energized atmosphere of 22,000+ people and Saturday tailgate and football season! Sadly, that quickly paused upon the COVID-19 pandemic. After being forced behind a screen for nearly half of my college experience, that initial SEC school high faded away. Once I returned to my initial major in STEM, it was hard to complete with the lack of in-person lab help due to the pandemic. It was then, I decided to transfer. After researching, I found myself visiting Tulane and falling immediately in love with the city and school. The smaller atmosphere of Tulane made me feel at home and I knew right then that this would be my new home! The transfer process went smoothly, and all the faculty and staff answered every question that I could ask. With Tulane being in the great city of New Orleans, there is no better place to get out and explore! There seems to be a festival or event every weekend! Experiencing carnival season has been so far my most favorite part about being here! There are so many ways you can get involved as a student within Tulane and the city of New Orleans! Once you arrive here, you too will be able to call this place your home away from home!
