Hi, I’m Mary from Birmingham, AL. I am currently majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in Chemistry. The decision to transfer schools can be challenging and nerve-racking, but everyone at Tulane is so welcoming and supportive that it made it easy for me. I first attended a large state school where I was lost in a sea of 20,000+ students. I longed to attend a smaller, liberal arts institution where I was more than just a number. I explored the option of transferring, and Tulane met me right where I was in the process. Out of the schools I looked into, Tulane had the most welcoming transfer environment, the best academic flexibility for transfer credits, and faculty members ready to answer any question I could think of. Tulane made transferring seem less daunting and made me excited to begin the journey. From my classes and extracurricular activities to exploring New Orleans with new friends, I have been able to soak up every bit of college life that I longed for at my previous school. I can’t wait to share my love of Tulane with you!
