Tulane 2025 Video

Hello from NOLA! Jeff Schiffman here, Director of Admission at Tulane. I am so excited to welcome you to the class of 2025 and I can't wait to see you here on campus soon.

We're working on a very cool video project that we need YOUR help with. Like you, around 50% of your freshman class has submitted their enrollment deposit. We now have 3 months to round out the rest of your class. And that is where YOU come in!

We're making a video featuring members of the class of 2025 (that's you!) to get folks excited about Tulane. Our video will be shared far and wide on our social media channels, and we need YOUR help to do it.

Grab your phone and we'll feature you in this video. The more creative the better. Here are the questions we want you to answer:

  1. What is your name and where are you from? (send footage that shows us where you're from — i.e. the Bean in Chicago or anything that gives us a sense of place)
  2. What do you want to major in at Tulane and why?
  3. What's a fun fact you'd like to share about yourself? Is there something you are interested in and/or passionate about? Is there a club or organization at Tulane you want to be part of? (again, footage that shows us is best — i.e. if you're musician send us some footage of you playing)
  4. Why did you choose Tulane? What is it about the school that made you want to spend the next 4 years here?
  5. What makes you excited to go to college at Tulane? What are you looking forward to?

Some tips:

  • Take all Covid precautions into account when shooting anything.
  • When answering 5 questions try to do so in the absolute quietest conditions possible (inside, no loud AC) and project your voice.
  • Place yourself in good lighting. Usually in front of a window or lamp works best.
  • Turn your phone sideways (landscape) and make sure your hand isn't covering the mic on your phone.
  • Send as much footage as possible that supports your answers to the above 5 questions. Try to include yourself in the footage you send us as much as you can. The more creative the background, the better. Did you grow up on a cornfield in Idaho? In the middle of Brooklyn? Show us!
  • While we prefer landscape, it can be vertical or whatever is easiest for you to film as much stuff as possible.

Send footage to ssox@tulane.edu using WeTransfer.com. If that doesn't work, you can upload to Google Drive and share footage with stuartsox@gmail.com.

Thanks y'all, and Roll Wave!
