The Tulane Interdisciplinary Experience Seminar (TIDES) Program provides students the opportunity to make meaningful connections with a small group of students and some of our best faculty. Active learning, intellectual challenges, and social co-curricular activities define the TIDES experience.
To promote interdisciplinary scholarship, all undergraduates participate in a TIDES seminar during their first year at Tulane. These courses bring together small groups of students and faculty to explore academics and the city of New Orleans from multiple academic perspectives.
With over 50 courses to choose from, ranging from Cities and the Urban Environment to Music and Culture of New Orleans to Leadership, Politics, Power & Change, there are topics to pique every type of student's interest. TIDES seminars focus on learning by interaction and are driven by intellectual curiosity. View a list of TIDES offerings and/or visit the TIDES website to learn more.
