The Tulane Research and Innovation Award (TRIA) is a Scholars Program that provides students with the opportunity to engage in research during their first year on campus. Participants are paired with a faculty member in the School of Science and Engineering and assist with that faculty member’s research throughout the academic year. Students are expected to work approximately 10 hours each week in their assigned lab and receive a $2500 stipend, distributed over the course of the year.
How to Apply
TRIA is an invitation-only program for admitted students who are identified as strong candidates for the program.
- Students must have indicated that their intended major is in the School of Science and Engineering at Tulane.
- Invited students can complete the application through their Green Wave Portal during the spring of their senior year.
- Applicants will be asked to complete an essay detailing their interest in TRIA and rank the projects based on their interests.
