The Tulane Research and Innovation Award (TRIA) is a Scholars Program that allows students to be placed into a research lab right away in their first year on campus. Students are expected to work about 10 hours each week in their lab during their first academic year. Students will be given a $2500 stiped spread out over the full academic year.
How to Apply
- In order to be considered for TRIA, students must have indicted that their intended major is in the School of Science and Engineering at Tulane
- Students may apply to the Tulane Research and Innovation Award only if invited. These invitations are sent to admitted students who are deemed a good fit for the program
- Invited students will be able to fill out the application in the spring of their senior year in their Green Wave Portal
- Applicants will be asked to complete an essay detailing their interest in TRIA and rank their interest in each of the research projects
