Favorite NOLA Restaurant:

Shaya on Magazine! Their pita bread is so fresh and fluffy, and they have different hummus options that are out of this world!

Favorite Spot on Campus:

LBC Rosenberg Mezzanine, where the Global Cafe comes alive every Tuesday. It's a place where students from all over the world gather for free coffee and snacks. When you step into that space, you can hear different languages being spoken and see lifelong connections being made. It’s truly beautiful.

My “Only at Tulane” Moment:

In spring 2023, the Associate Dean for Global Education and I embarked on an epic adventure with a group of international students to Bahía de Banderas in Mexico. This program was specifically designed for international students, and it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. We spent our mornings meeting with local entrepreneurs and indigenous groups, immersing ourselves in the vibrant culture of Mexico and learning about ecotourism, indigenous traditions, entrepreneurship, and environmental sustainability. In the afternoons, we had free time to soak up the sun. It was an experience that broadened my horizons and left me with memories I'll cherish forever.

My “Only in New Orleans” Moment:

I joined a Mardi Gras dance krewe, and I danced my heart out as we paraded down St. Charles Avenue seven times! The energy was electric, and the streets were packed with thousands and thousands of people cheering us on from both sides. It was such an incredible feeling to be part of this vibrant tradition.

My Best College Search Process Tip:

Don't get too fixated on the rankings! The order changes every year and so many factors influence the ranking. Instead, focus on finding a school where you'll truly thrive and feel at home. Look for a place that offers the programs, resources, and community that align with your passions and goals.
