Hey y’all, I’m Maci, a New Orleans local from across the river on the Westbank! I had my doubts about being admitted as a Spring Scholar and often wondered if I was sure about waiting until the Spring to start at Tulane. Since being admitted as a Spring Scholar, I have learned that it ended up being the perfect admission path for me– and Tulane was definitely worth the wait! I am currently exploring a variety of majors including Psychology, Public Health, Dance as well as Social Policy and Practice. However, as of now, I am planning on double majoring in Dance and Social Policy and Practice on a Pre-Law track! I am hoping to get involved with TUStep and CACTUS (Community Action Council of Tulane Students) on campus. In the Fall, I was able to take classes for transferable credit at UNO, work part time as a barista at a local coffee shop, teach dance classes at my dance studio and make friends at Tulane before I even started on campus! I attended multiple football games and was able to make new friends at Tulane who are now helping me acclimate to life and class on campus! Being a Spring Scholar was the best choice for me, it all worked out perfectly!
